The worst restaurant in Almería I experienced in the 2 years I lived there (ate out 2-3 times per week so tried a lot of places) and also the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Worse than cheap supermarket frozen pizza! I still shudder in horror at what they called "pizza". The base was so thin and hard it crumbled into dust once you touched it. Not to mention it came out cold. It was more like a flour tortilla that had a thin smear of toppings on and had been overcooked. There was no dough to speak of. It was a very insubstantial meal and I was still hungry after eating it. The pasta dishes looked heartier but I was told they were very salty and the pasta overcooked. The meat dishes looked very overcooked and dry. The starter and dessert were forgettable and small portions. This restaurant has a reputation in Almería for being posh and people choose it for special occasions which is why I happened to be there. Unfortunately as I was an invited guest I felt unable to complain about the food but it all looked unappetising and overcooked so I'm not sure what alternative I could have chosen. Save yourself the disappointment and go to any of the other numerous restaurants in Almería which have far...
Read moreWe dined there September 22nd and asked for a bottle of house red, and were told they didn't have it, so asked for the wine menu, and were told they didn't do one because of covid, at which point the lad recommended one, so we asked the price. He didn't know so went off to check. Couldn't believe how long they took to decide, however, he came back and said €12, so we said fine. When we got the bill we were charged €26.50!! Checked it with him and he said that was the price, so we argued that he had told us €12, to which he replied he didn't remember saying that!! We were really annoyed, so said it to the girl he checked with, and she said that was the price, she then told us that they DID have the house wine!! We paid the bill rather than argue the point as they really didn't want to know. Certainly no customer service or apology. We just felt it was a...
Read moreThis restaurant is amazing! We both oredered the Lomo Cosenza for dinner and Citron sorbet for desert.
The food were beyond tasty and it was very professionally plated. I actually tried to eat slower to make the meal last longer, and that says something.
The waitresses were nice, sadly only one of them understood some English, and this is is the only critique i have. If they knew that one in the staff knows English, they should send the same waitress to serve, as this makes the communication between guest and restaurant way easier. Instead i was met by a confused face when i tried to order, i understand that not everyone knows English as i do not know Spanish, but it would've been 5/5 in everything if this was thought of in the future.
I wish this restaurant the best, love from 2...
